Burden-Free Mind

Have you ever wondered why you carry around your burdens? Is it because you’re the only one you can trust to carry them? If you gave them to God, what would you do with a burden-free mind? After all, they are YOUR burdens!

Imagine what would happen if you gave your burdens to God. Could you trust Him to do right by them?

The Bible says:

Cast all your cares, all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all on Him, for He cares about you with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully. I Peter 5:7 (Amplified Bible)

Cast your burden on the Lord, release it, and He will sustain and uphold you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken, slip, fall, fail. Psalm 56:22 (Amplified Bible)

Based on what the Bible says, it is the RIGHT and the SMART thing to do!

When God tells us to “cast” our burden on Him, it’s not a suggestion, it’s a command. If we were meant to hang onto our burdens, God wouldn’t have commanded us to give them to Him.

While these verses do not promise that God will fix or remove our burdens, we do have the assurance that God will take care of us. God is trustworthy to handle our problems and He will always do what is best for us because He loves and cares deeply for us.

It takes faith to let go of your burdens, but you can do it when you take God at His Word and trust Him. It’s okay to let go. Your world isn’t going to fall apart, but you might, if you don’t let go.

Great is God’s Faithfulness ❤ Deb

  1. It truly does take faith to let go of burdens, we tend to hold onto to them May we take our worries to God and know that He will walk with us through it all. A wonderful word Deb 💙

  2. So very true! Casting our burdens on God really is a command. The verses you shared are very encouraging, especially in this world today – and for me in many areas of life as well. How often I forget to let God carry my burdens. Thank you, Deb, for the truth you always share and for how you encourage me.

  3. “If we were meant to hang onto our burdens, God wouldn’t have commanded us to give them to Him.”

I’ve never seriously considered that casting off our burdens is a command from God, rather than a suggestion.

You’re right, Deborah! God wants to take our burdens off our hands but. too often, we want to hold on to them. After all, they are OURS.

    Great post!
