What’s Your Purpose?

Every believer has a purpose to fulfill. It’s the same for everyone: Love God and Love Others!

Within your purpose should be the desire to share the love of God with people!

It doesn’t take a “special” calling from God to fulfill your purpose, but it does take obedience. Becoming a preacher or missionary doesn’t validate your purpose and it certainly doesn’t take away your excuses for not fulfilling your purpose.

Love God, love others, obey God. Concentrate on fulfilling your purpose and God will take care of your impact on the world.

Great is God’s Faithfulness 💐 Deb

“Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭22:37-39‬ ‭NLT‬‬

  1. The priesthood of believers gets lost in our secular view of “training for ministry” in seminaries and Bible schools. And this promotes a lethargic view of following Jesus.
My next blog is on the need for Biblical literacy to enable us to fulfill our calling and election: every believer is a “light of the world.”

  2. Deb, I so agree with you. Each one of us who are Christ followers have a calling to live out the purpose he has for us. It might look different but it is for everyone. We can sometime think it would mean a full time ministry but we know that we are called to live out our purpose in the place and time God sets us in with the people around us.
