Promise Keeper

“Here begins the Good News about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God.” Mark 1:1

I began reading the Bible chronologically, December 1, 2019. The last few months have been rough! Sin, judgment, captivity. Good kings, bad kings, judgment. Future judgment. Prophecy and FINALLY, yesterday, the fulfillment of deliverance with the birth of the Deliverer! YEA! When I read that Mark 1:1, my heart leaped with joy, and my eyes filled with tears as I exclaimed, “FINALLY!”

My favorite Rich Mullins song is My Deliverer.

He will never break His promise, He has written it upon the sky 
My Deliverer is coming, my Deliverer is standing by 
I will never doubt His promise though I doubt my heart, I doubt my eyes 
My Deliverer is coming, my Deliverer is standing by

I don’t know about you, but I am ready for the return of Jesus! The joy and tears I experienced reading Mark 1:1 is just a foretaste of the day of His return!
It’s been a very long time since Jesus went back to heaven, but one day SOON, He is coming again! God always keeps His promises.

  4. 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow to fulfill His promise as some understand slowness, but is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance. This sprang to mind
