It’s been over 2,000 years, and people are still attacking Jesus Christ. They speak/write hateful, slanderous, and derogatory words about Jesus as if He did something personally against them. Those who speak/write against Jesus do so as if they’re mad at Him. I wonder what He did to them to make them so angry. I don’t get it.🥴
Before Jesus was born, Isaiah prophesied, Jesus would have a tough life. For starters, He would be despised, forsaken, acquainted with sorrows and grief, disrespected, and in the end, be crucified for being the Son of God (Isaiah 53). After Jesus was born, Joseph was warned in a dream to take Jesus and His mother and flee to Egypt because King Herod planned to search for the Messiah to destroy Him. It’s a good thing Joseph obeyed God since Herod slew all the male children who were in Bethlehem and all its vicinity from two years old and under (Matthew 2)! Herod wanted Jesus dead! Joseph’s obedience was the difference between life and death! Last, but not least, we cannot forget the Pharisees, who spent their time discrediting, mocking, and lying against Jesus. The Pharisees wanted Jesus dead. Today, man cannot put Jesus to death, so they work hard to blaspheme and put to death the name and character of Jesus, but they cannot because He is the Living Son of God.
Try as a man may, he will never put Jesus to death. Jesus said, “For this reason, the Father loves Me, because I lay down My life, so that I may take it again. No one has taken it away from Me, but I lay it down on My own initiative. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This commandment I received from My Father. John 10:17-18
No individual, group, or government had the power to kill Christ! Jesus voluntarily died for our sins.
Jesus doesn’t need me to defend Him, but I will always take a stand in love ❤️ for Him.
