What are you waiting on God to do for you? How many prayers have you sent up that he has not answered? I’m waiting on a few. They are big, and God is the only One who can do anything about my situation, and I like it that way because when the answers do come, I will know I had nothing to do with it, except to pray and to patiently wait.
I confess, my flesh does not like waiting. When my flesh is in control, it heads straight for Easy Street, where worry and doubt lead the way.
Waiting on the Lord is not easy; it takes work. Our flesh and the enemy of our soul tempt us to question God’s timing and to doubt if God really cares.
We can trust that God’s timing is always best.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path.” Proverbs 3:5-7
“So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you!” Hebrews 10:35
“But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.” Jeremiah 17:7
Of course, God cares. His care is not based on answered prayers! God always cares!
“Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you” 1 Peter 5:7
“And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, He will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?” Matthew 6:30
If you’re on Easy Street, it’s never too late to exit. Leave behind your worries and doubts and trust God to answer your prayers in His perfect timing.
